FML returns once again with Synthetic, 15 compositions created entirely using the Yamaha CS70 and Kangaroo-Hide drums. A little boom bap, a little final frontier, and a little randy, Synthetic pairs one of the most iconic synthesizers of our time with saturated and compressed drums.

Featuring eerie melodic motifs, rich synth bass lines, and the famed CS70 oscillator pitch sweeps, Synthetic explores the grandeur of Tomita’s ‘The Planets’ tethered by a boom bap jazz sensibility reminiscent of Idris Mohammed and Earl Palmer’s drumming styles.

Every sound has been meticulously captured using Langevin and Flickenger style preamps and vintage microphones, guaranteeing pristine audio quality. All compositions are BPM labelled, performed and recorded on real instruments, and mixed down to 1/4" tape, allowing for seamless integration into your next production.
