This month FML step away from their usual live analog soul sound to explore eerie late night lullabies for late night reflections. Intimate and meditative, the 15 compositions in Spooky Lullabies focus on building introspective moods and timbres using a variety of synthesizers and percussive elements.
Utilizing lush piano arpeggios, warm synthesizer bass, plucky nylon guitar, and dynamic drum machine patterns, the FML house band shows us a new side, gently navigating various moods and dynamics throughout the pack. Spooky Lullabies showcases a new ensemble of instruments for FML, including the CS-10, Farfisa VIP 500, CR-68 Drum Machine, Upright Piano, Juno 106, Nylon Guitar, Vintage P-Bass, percussion and more.
Every sound has been meticulously captured using Langevin and Flickenger style preamps and vintage microphones, guaranteeing pristine audio quality. All compositions are BPM labelled, performed and recorded on real instruments, and mixed down to 1/4" tape, allowing for seamless integration into your next production.
